Below, you’ll find details of the activities I carry out alongside my doctorate, which aim to pass on my passion for research and science, as well as raising awareness among young people of the issues facing our world today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Type of intervention<\/span>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Atelier d’AMU, R\u00e9alit\u00e9 Virtuelle et Prise de parole en public \/ Virtual Reality and Public Speaking<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The aim of this workshop is to introduce virtual reality, how it works and what it can do, as well as to explain my research work.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n Middle and high schools<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Atelier d’AMU, Biais cognitifs, biais de genre et IA \/ Cognitive bias, gender bias and AI<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The aim of this workshop is to discover and raise awareness of certain cognitive biases that can be encountered in everyday life, and also to discuss gender stereotypes and their sometimes amplified presence in today’s AI systems.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n Middle and high schools<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n Projet Transfert (Cord\u00e9es de la r\u00e9ussite<\/em><\/strong>), IA et Genre \/ Transfer Project <\/em>– AI and Gender<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The goal of this workshop was to explore Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the concept of gender stereotypes. Over four sessions, students applied the scientific method (research question, hypothesis, literature review, experiment, and discussion) to investigate this theme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I participated in two sessions. In the first, I helped introduce the topic by guiding the students in defining the research question, formulating the hypothesis, and designing the experimental protocol. In the second session, I assisted with the experimental phase, explaining how a neural network works and which parameters can be adjusted to improve model performance for a specific task.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Students then trained a machine learning model (MLP) to predict the gender of a speaker based on nonverbal behavior. They were also asked to deliver a short speech in front of a virtual audience in virtual reality, during which we recorded their nonverbal behavior.
