3c1bSkIJEeWpogr5ZO8qxQ The assignments are well thought out and explain the algorithms step-by-step. The subtitles/transcripts are a disappointment :( . Full of mistakes. Sometimes to the point of being useless or even worse - saying the exact of opposite of what the lecturer says. Since the lecturer sometimes is unclear - this is problematic. As usual - Graphlab Create sometimes crashes, however there are explanations how to run the assignments using Scikit-Learn. 1) The subtitles/transcripts are a disappointment:(1) . Full of mistakes. 4tHoAq3EEeSk9iIAC49U6w Course is interesting, but sometimes its so hard to perceive the information with such accent :( I`m not lazy to read the subtitles, no.. but they also, from time to time work improperly and its not feasible at all to conceive the information . Plus, its absolutely inconvenient when you provide one huge assignment for several weeks at once! Why couldn`t you make it a few smaller to every week? (( I think I`ll disenroll 1) the information with such accent:(1) I`m not lazy to read3.0

6mOCpgP8EeWmBSIAC9UI2A This course has some very distinct and informative material which was terrific for learning about writing for young readers. I particularly found Maria Gill's modules very informative, encouraging and well presented. What I found REALLY disheartening, was that we as students (who aren't qualified and at times, have questionable English literacy skills), were the ones who were given the task of assessing all of the assessments in this course. I was really hoping for feedback from the industry experienced course creators :( . The other thing that was frustrating is that 'word count' was a criteria. Some students were brutal in their grading because one was over the word count by a few words, so be aware of that, if you are going to undertake this 'course'. This is not so much a course which leads to some sort of exam or qualification (dictionary.cambridge.org) but an independent information acquirement experience. I learnt quite a lot about writing and publishing and would encourage you to do this course, as it does contain some great information and tips, just be aware that grading is based on newbies like us and sometimes the feedback can be a bit disheartening but just persevere and you will learn lots. These people really know what they are talking about.1) the industry experienced course creators:(1) . The other thing that4.0
7A1yFTaREeWWBQrVFXqd1w I am very disappointed with this programming course. The course lacks detail and deepth and could be taught in 45 to 60 minutes instead of 7 weeks. The quizzes and assignments were to easy and basic (solved in less than 5 minutes) and definitely not enough. Annoying was the overuse of colours in almost every video (almost everything was coloured - highlighting everything is just as usefull as highlighting nothing, green box with white text inside - did you try to read that on a different monitor than yours?), the pointless and useless doodles, smilies and whatsoever, wasting my time by watching you dispose your teabag/drinking tea or coffee/talking about your mug/etc., why do you even need to drink in a 20 minute-or-less video. The Tutor tried to loosen a dry topic. Mostly it wasn't my humor but I can live with that. I had hoped for more :(1) I had hoped for more:(1) 1.0
7gLccRnoEeWjrA6seF25aw this course is great in concept. but the reality was disappointing and will have to improve. the professor gave lots of links to interesting external materials. but his prepared lectures were much briefer and consisted mostly of presenting bullet-point lists. as a result, i found myself studying just to pass the quizes and not to actually enhance my knowledge. :( given the high standard of the other courses in this specialization, i'm sure it will be better next time....1) to actually enhance my knowledge.:(1) given the high standard of3.0
7O843CBJEeWcQw5YiljpGw It is a good course for all people who want to know more aobut this resource. In opinion each chapter could be a course in order to make a especialization and, about all, one course dedicated to software (wasp... windpro...) would give 5 stars. A good introduction course, i hope it helps me to find a new job... :(1) to find a new job...:(1) 4.0

d64E7li7EeWylgpjfV1KVQ i found it entertaining and informative. It leaves room for discussion but has given me a non ESL teacher an interesting insight into the theories of Language Acquisition. I am interested in the way one Teaching Discipline takes knowledge from another, repacks it and sells it under their School of Teaching in almost the same way the despicable H.R. industry relaunches every few years. In summary a good section of the course well presented but i hate "Tests or Exams" :-( 1) i hate "Tests or Exams":(1) 4.0

FDKAdNsuEeSEcyIAC2mPOQ Enjoyed the course, especially the awesome research work by other professors. However, was expecting a more content heavy course, which is a part of the full specialization, kinda unaffordable for me :( Anyways, great course, loved it! :)1) specialization, kinda unaffordable for me:(1) Anyways, great course, loved it!4.0

Hr9lByyfEeWccAqzeA4VPw My overall experience with this Specialization, in general, and this 1st Course, in particular, is very positive. On the positive side, I really like the fact that the Courses are practice-oriented and provide not only theoretical frameworks, but also insights from experts, practical guidance, and evidence-based best practices. Also, the idea of applying Team-Based Learning (TBL), in the forms of Readiness Assurance Tests (RATs) and scenario-based RAT Application Exercises, for assessing participants' learning, is excellent! However, there are a couple of downsides, that's why I'm not giving a 5 star positive feedback. The first problem is that not all of the required readings are freely available via the Coursera platform, or elsewhere online. I appreciate the excellent quality of the chosen materials, but, if it becomes compulsory to spend more than US $100 for buying books, then the total cost of this Specialization elevates quite a lot, given that I had to pay €162 for it. On my opinion, there should be at least a note in the description of both the Specialization and the Courses about these requirements, in order to make an informed decision before enrolling. The second downside has to do with Course 1 and Course 2 overlapping materials. I'm referring to guest interview videos. That's mainly a problem of the 2nd Course, as there are almost no guest interviews in this Course, and the one interview provided is already available in Course 1. I understand that the topics discussed apply to the topics of both Courses, but, still, I find it an unnecessary repetition. The last problem is about the dates that the Courses are run. Course 1 runs during a given period, Course 2 is on demand, but it makes sense to attend it before Course 3, that also runs during a given period, which overlaps with the period of the 1st Course. Sorry, this makes it very difficult to attend everything and to seriously focus, as it's always about running for deadlines, especially when one has to produce three (3) Board Effectiveness Assessment Reflection (BEAR) papers :( .1) Effectiveness Assessment Reflection (BEAR) papers:(1) . 4.0
iQZflcZ7EeOoFhIxOQQuEA Child Nutrition and Cooking was a pretty fun and easy course. As a stay at home mom and experience novice cook since childhood this class was more of a recap of basic cooking for me and a nice reminder of nutritional goals and current standards. I enjoyed it for my introduction to Coursera. Unfortunately this course didn't offer offer a certificate or statement of accomplishment in any form at the time I took it. :(1) the time I took it.:(1) 3.0

jHCTx1u-EeWylgpjfV1KVQ I had very high hopes for this course. I was actually planning to purchase the specialization - just as a thank you gesture. Unfortunately, there is very little to be grateful for here. In this course, you get a series of super short lectures giving you an overview of the math and physics behind the aerial robotics. I can't be the judge (since I hold a degree in this area), but I don't think you'll be able to get much if you aren't familiar with the topics yet. And you most certainly won't learn anything new if you had some previous training. And then suddenly there are assignments. That have almost nothing to do with the lectures, but require quite a bit of Matlab programming (did I mention you won't be taught any Matlab in the process?) To make things worse, the assignments are rather poorly explained. By the way, you won't get any replies from the course team - they even ignore questions about errors in lectures. The course looks very sloppy. As if someone forced the team to put together something for Coursera. A huge disappointment :(1) for Coursera. A huge disappointment:(1) 1.0
KqKtbzXyEeWW9BKhJ4xW0Q Good introduction. But it feels like it is not complete. It is not much without the other courses so you either take the entire specialization or the benefits are not that big :( I feel like the specialization courses are an artificial break to a real university class... if the university class had only the content from those videos, that would not be enough.1) benefits are not that big:(1) I feel like the specialization3.0

mTJHKj0pEeSGwyIACxCdDw I thought she was a nice Teacher but Didn't teach the Basics steps into speaking & learning chinese . If she had started with ABC alphabet how to write & speak the first week then taught to sound each letter out in different pitches of volume 2week then to sentences building 3rd week so on . it would had been much more helpful I believe ... SpO4HBnoEeWjrA6seF25aw I would have liked the class to be less theoretical, with more frequent explanations linking concepts to practical applications in daily / business life, in order to keep interest and motivation high and facilitate understanding and memorisation. It sure would help to enter this course with a certain background of probability. Those memories were too ancient in my case :-(1) too ancient in my case:(1) 2.0
SpO4HBnoEeWjrA6seF25aw Quite an useful course for Excel application in business decision-making. But I think the final project is a little more difficult than weekly assignments. And only Quiz 1 has some hints about the potential problems we might come across during the quiz. The linear regression part, especially multivariate linear regression, need more explanations how to derive the matrix in Excel. Even though I followed every steps and referred other classmates' discussions, I cannot work out the matrix with Excel. So sad :(1) matrix with Excel. So sad:(1) 4.0
TYSbV73jEeW1WAr3aepXuw It is a great effort to try to explain writing an academic paper. I appreciate it. And unfortunately, these guys have an awful English accent. yOZEQ3lwEeWb-BLhFdaGww I liked this course alot. If you are a student and come from the previous course, you may only read the cons, since this course has the same spirit as the previous. Pros: 1. The lectures contain quite a good material which is somehow difficult and they made me to pay attention. The lectures are based on dasgupta's book and MIT course book. 2. There are links to additional materials, I found the dijkstra's book and MIT course book, so I was able to gain extra information for topics which interested me. Also slides are very useful 3. The forum! This course has a life forum where you can find help or share your ideas. 4. The teaching stuff! They are answering student questions and taking part in discussions Cons: Having compared this course with the previous one from the set, this course suffers from luck of interesting problems. The previous course has more than ~25 problems and for each module it has advanced problems, even more they added extra problems during the course running. This course has ~12 problems and only one advanced for the whole course!. Only this advanced problem made me take a piece of paper and a pen and draw trees, and play with toy examples. Only for this problem I wrote a stress test. That is the most fun for me of studying! If this course didn't have this advanced problem, I would barely give it 3 stars. P.S. Theaching stuff, please conider to add extra problems, the first course is awesome and it is way too good. This course is good, but it think you may develop it not only the first one. Otherwise students may get dissapointed if they come from the previous course. I hoped that you would have added extra problems, so I slowed down, my expectation didnt come true :(1) my expectation didnt come true:(1) 5.0
